Transportation Advisory Board:
The Transportation Advisory Board represents current and potential PAS-TRAN riders.

Service Policy:

Guns and weapons are prohibited.

Food, drinks, loud or disruptive behavior, the use of illegal substances, alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited.

Passengers may not interfere with the safety or privacy of other passengers.

Lift equipped vehicles are available.

Credit cards are NOT accepted at this time.

Certain restrictions may apply.

Seat belts MUST be worn at all times.

Parents must provide safety seats as the law requires.
To request transportation:

Coordinate pickup and return times with staff.

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your trip.

These services are designed to support independence and accessibility for residents across the county.
PAS-TRAN transportation services are available to:

Adults age 65 and older

Individuals with disabilities (ADA eligible)

Visitors to the area
Minors must be accompanied by an adult when using transportation services.
Cancelling a Trip:
If you need to cancel a
scheduled trip:

Notify PAS-TRAN at least 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time

Failure to cancel in advance is considered a “No Show.”
*Transportation services may be interrupted if funding is not available.*
PAS-TRAN riders may:

Be picked up directly from their home, or
-
Use one of the designated stop locations
Transportation is available to destinations throughout the service area.
Contact PAS-TRAN to confirm whether your destination can be served.
*PAS-TRAN riders may be picked up or dropped off at any of our four stop locations and/or service from your house directly to the destination, for any person, as well as for persons with a disability.*

Complaints must be filed in writing or in person no later than 180 days after the alleged act of discrimination occurred.

American with Disabilities Act Plan
the American with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) requires that individuals with disabilities receive the same level of service as non-disabled individuals. Services that are "separate but equal" are not acceptable.
It is the policy of Pender Adult Services to comply with all the legal requirements of federal and state laws and regulations as they pertain to individuals with disabilities. If state laws and federal regulations are contradictory, the federal ADA regulations prevail. The transit system provides quality transportation services without discrimination to all persons including individuals with disabilities. Discrimination on the basis of disability against any person by transit system employees will not be condoned.
